What this directory is

Greater Hartford Plumber Director is an independent directory covering 100 roofing contractor businesses across Greater Hartford. It exists for homeowners and property managers who need a straightforward way to compare local roofers without wading through scattered reviews and outdated business listings on their own. Instead of ranking companies by who pays the most, we rank them by how they actually perform, based on public data and what customers are saying.

We also help connect people to providers. If you ask to be matched with a roofer, we pass your enquiry along to a business relevant to your request, and we may receive a referral fee for doing so. That arrangement is disclosed on the quote page, and it never touches how businesses are scored or ranked here. A contractor cannot buy a better position on this site.

Where the listings come from

Every profile starts with public business records: registration details, service areas, years active, and similar facts. On top of that, we synthesize recent Google reviews to build a picture of how a business is actually performing, covering things like responsiveness, workmanship, and follow-through on warranty issues. We do not republish review text wholesale. Instead we summarize the sentiment and link back to the original Google listing so you can read reviews directly at the source.

Data gets refreshed on a monthly cycle, so a profile reflects recent activity rather than a snapshot from years ago.

How rankings are earned

Rankings come from a published rubric applied consistently to the data we collect, not from opinion or negotiation. You can read exactly what’s measured and how it’s weighted on our methodology page. A business that improves its real-world reviews or corrects outdated facts can see that reflected over time, but the score itself is calculated, not assigned.

Listed businesses can request corrections to factual details on their own profile: an address, a phone number, a service list, hours. What they cannot do is edit their own score, sentiment summary, or ranking position. That separation is intentional and it’s what keeps the rankings usable.

Sponsorship, when it appears

Some pages may include sponsored placements. These are always labeled “Sponsored,” displayed separately from the earned ranking, and never blended into it. A sponsored slot buys visibility, not a better score.
